A freight train derailed near Pommidi in Dharmapuri district.

A freight train from Salem was heading towards Jolarpet this morning (27). The wheel of a box of this train derailed unexpectedly when it was passing near Pommidi in Dharmapuri district Papirettipatti circle. Knowing this, the driver of the freight train immediately stopped the train.

The work of repairing the derailed train box by technical staff is now in progress.

There has been a slight delay in the operation of other freight and passenger trains passing through the area due to the derailment of the freight train.
