DMK will come to power in the election manifesto and will implement it....what happened...Anbumani Ramdhas Question..?

Why has the DMK government not fulfilled its election promise to reduce petrol prices by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 4 per liter?

In Tamil Nadu, petrol price has touched Rs 100 in Kodaikanal. Following this, AIADMK co-ordinator O. Panneerselvam had demanded that action be taken to reduce petrol and diesel prices as promised by the DMK in its election manifesto.

In this situation, Pamaka youth leader Anbumani Ramadas has also urged to take action to reduce petrol and diesel prices.

In a post on Twitter, he said, “Petrol price in Tamil Nadu has touched Rs.100.

In Kodaikanal, a liter of petrol sells for Rs. 99.95. In Chennai, a liter of diesel has gone up to Rs 91.64. This price increase will hit people hard! The increase is due to the excise duty of Rs 32.90 per liter on petrol and Rs 31.80 per liter on diesel.

The tax levied by the Tamil Nadu government is Rs 58.28 per liter on petrol and Rs 50.13 per liter on diesel. This is not fair!

In Tamil Nadu, the value added tax of the state government is Rs 25.38 (34%) on petrol and Rs 18.33 (25%) on diesel. Including the share of the state government in the central government tax, the state of Tamil Nadu gets Rs. 39.19 and Rs. 31.68 respectively!

The DMK government has not yet fulfilled its election promise to reduce petrol prices by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 4 per liter.

In the interest of the people, the central and state governments should come forward to reduce taxes on petrol and diesel by a total of Rs 10 each to a total of Rs 20, ”Anbumani Ramadas said.
