Delhi High Court verdict on Central Vista project .... Final verdict .... Supreme Court

The apex court dismissed the petition filed against the order issued by the Delhi High Court refusing to stop the Central Vista scheme.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had heard a welfare case against the Central Vista scheme, saying, "The Supreme Court has already allowed that there is no impediment to the continuation of the Central Vista scheme. However, this petition has been filed with intent. Not for welfare purposes.

There is no question that this construction should be stopped. Construction can continue and be completed within a specified time frame. The overall Central Vista program is also of national importance. Parliament should fully function here. The public is very interested in this project.

Workers involved in the construction work are systematically working with corona prevention measures. Corona prevention measures have also been taken in the areas where the staff are staying.

They have also been provided with the necessary facilities. We, therefore, dismiss the petition seeking to stop this project. We impose a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on the petitioner for lack of veracity in his petition. ”

In this context, the case against the Delhi High Court came up for hearing in the Supreme Court.
The case came up for hearing before Judge AM Conwilker. Judges then asked why petitioners Anya Malhotra and Sohail Hashmi were targeted.

Why focus only on the Central Vista program. Is there any other public project in Delhi that is not working at all? If your problem is the Rs 1 lakh imposed by the Delhi High Court, we will say that the fine is less for us.

The judges said the Delhi High Court verdict on the Central Vista scheme was final.
