According to the Central Government, 4941 metric tons of oxygen has been distributed to Tamil Nadu.

The details of the report issued by the Central Government in this regard are as follows:

Indian Railways has been distributing liquid medical oxygen across the country through Oxygen Express trains, overcoming various obstacles.

Oxygen Express trains carry more than 30,000 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen.

So far 30,182 metric tonnes of oxygen has been distributed in 1,734 tankers to various states including Tamil Nadu.

Medicinal oxygen has been delivered to the states by 421 Oxygen Express trains.

Oxygen Express trains have delivered 15,000 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen to the southern states.

The states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have received about 4,900, 3600 and 3700 metric tons of oxygen respectively.

There are currently 2 trains traveling in 10 tankers with 177 metric tons of oxygen.

Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Telangana,
Fifteen states - Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Assam - have received oxygen so far.

So far 4941 metric tonnes for Tamil Nadu, 614 metric tonnes for Maharashtra, 659 metric tonnes for Madhya Pradesh, 5722 metric tonnes for Delhi, 2354 metric tonnes for Rajasthan, 378 metric tonnes for Andhra Pradesh and 320 metric tonnes. 3664 MT, 225 MT to Punjab, 513 MT to Kerala, 2972 ​​MT to Telangana, 38 MT to Jharkhand and 480 MT to Assam.

In addition some Oxygen Express trains are expected to start their journey tonight.
