They won gold for the second time in half a century at the Tokyo Olympics, a historic achievement...

Hockey, India's national sport, continues its long journey to the Olympics. No other country has ever made such a huge contribution through a game. The Indian hockey team won gold in all the Olympic Games from 1928 to 1956 and was proud to be unbeaten in any round until then.

They then lost to Pakistan in the final at the 1960 Olympics in Rome. However, the Indian team won gold again at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo.

When it was considered the golden age of the achievements of the Indian team, they were shocked to lose their chance to reach the semi-finals of the 1976 Olympics.

However, the Indian hockey team failed to win gold for the 8th time at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. Then in 2008 for the first time he lost the chance to go to the Olympics due to a series of defeats.

They are now expected to win gold for the second time at the Tokyo Olympics, half a century later, and set a historic record.
