The federal government has so far provided more than 37.07 crore corona vaccines to states and union territories from the central Govt.
The Federal Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in a statement on Tuesday
More than 37.07 crore (37,07,23,840) vaccines have been distributed to states and union territories so far. A further 23,80,000 dose vaccines are in production.
More than 1.66 crore (1,66,63,643) vaccines are in stock or unused in the states.
The federal government is providing free immunizations to states and union territories as part of a nationwide vaccination campaign. Vaccination has increased according to the new vaccination campaign launched on June 21.
Under the new scheme, the central government will purchase vaccines and provide 75% of the vaccines to the states free of cost.
