President Ramnath Govind has ordered the appointment of new governors in eight states, including Karnataka, amid reports that the Union Cabinet will be reshuffled soon.
An announcement is expected to be made this evening or tomorrow that the Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Modi, will be reshuffled.
President Ramnath Govind has appointed new governors in eight states. New governors have been appointed for Karnataka, Haryana, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Madhya Pradesh.
Thavarchand Kelad, who is the Union Minister for Social Justice, is currently the Governor of Karnataka. Sreedharan Pillai, currently the Governor of Mizoram, has been appointed as the new Governor of Goa.
Satyadev Narayan, Governor of Haryana, has been appointed Governor of Arya Tripura. Similarly, Ramesh Pius, who was the Governor of Tripura, has been appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand.
Bandaru Dattatreya, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed Governor of Haryana.
Hari Babu Kambhapathi has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram. Mangubai Sakanbai Patel has been appointed Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, Rajendran Viswanath has been appointed as the new Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
