Puducherry Chief Minister Rangasamy has said that schools for 9th to 12th class students will be opened in Puducherry on July 16.

An announcement has been made about the reopening of schools and colleges in Pondicherry following the decline in the spread of corona.

Accordingly, schools for 9th to 12th class students will be opened in Pondicherry on July 16 and all colleges in Pondicherry will be operational from the 16th, Chief Minister Rangasamy said.

He also said that the school education department will soon issue guidelines on the opening of schools.

Earlier, Pondicherry Deputy Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan had said that all school teachers should be vaccinated against corona.
