Haitian caretaker govt calls on US forces in the Caribbean...

The caretaker government of Haiti in the Caribbean has called on US forces to provide internal security in the wake of the assassination of Adibar.

Claude Joseph, the interim president of Haiti, told the Associated Press:

The United States and the United Nations have been tasked with overseeing the country's homeland security. It is true that we have demanded that troops be sent.

We need international help to safeguard the stability of the country in this dire situation. We have approached friendly countries for that.

We firmly believe that international allies can assist the National Police in overcoming the current extraordinary situation in Haiti.

It is painful that the opposition is trying to seize power in the country by taking advantage of the assassination of Adibar Jovanel Moyes. I have no inclination towards such a position.

The only way to become president of Haiti is to be a gardener.

Earlier, police said a foreign mercenary had assassinated Adibar Joanel Moyes. Fifteen former Colombian soldiers and two Haitians with US citizenship were arrested. 3 Bo was killed during the arrest operation.

Police said they were looking for 8 more people in the case.

Adibar Joanel Moise, 53, and his wife were murdered at their home last Tuesday at midnight.

Subsequently, with the support of the military and police, Prime Minister Claude Joseph took over as interim president.

Entrepreneur Joanel Moyes competed in the 2015 Adibar Garden. He came in first with 32.8 percent of the vote, with polls suggesting he would get only 6 percent of the vote. This led to violent protests across the country over abuses in the garden. This was followed by the inability to hold the 2nd round. However, Moyes' victory in the first round was announced.

This was followed by Jovanel Moyes' victory in the 2016 Adibar polls with 55.67 percent of the vote.

Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections in 2018, accusing Haiti of undermining the economy under his rule. It was followed by protests demanding the resignation of Jovanel Moyes for a variety of reasons, including corruption.

In this context, he and his wife were murdered. Silas has raised suspicions that Moyes may have been assassinated under an international conspiracy because he was arrested by a foreign mercenary in connection with this.
