The Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Modi, is expected to change soon.

It is expected that states including Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab will be represented during the expansion of the Union Cabinet.

The National Democratic Alliance won the May 2019 parliamentary elections for the second time. At that time, 53 people took charge as Union Ministers.

There has been no change in the Union Cabinet so far as the BJP government in the middle has completed 2 years in charge for the 2nd time. It has been decided to increase the number of Union Ministers as there can be up to 81 members in the Union Cabinet.

With five states, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand, set to go to the polls next year, the Union Cabinet is expected to be reshuffled.
