Permission to import modern vaccine called Moderna from India ...!

Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Cipla has also been approved by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DCGI) to import and market the US-based drug Moderna in India.

Only two vaccines against the corona virus, Kovacsin and Covshield, were in circulation in India. Third, the federal government allowed Dr. Reddy's to import and manufacture the Sputnik-V vaccine from Russia.

Accordingly, the first vaccines were imported into India from Russia on May 1. The Sputnik-V vaccine was introduced after obtaining formal approval from the Federal Drug Administration.

Following this, the Central Government consulted on the possibility of allowing corona vaccines in India to be used in various countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
State governments have sought permission to purchase vaccines from abroad. The governments of Punjab and Delhi have demanded the purchase of the vaccine from Moderna in the United States. But the company has refused to supply the vaccine to state governments.

Following this, Cipla, a Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company, had applied to the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DCGI) for emergency use to import and sell Modern medicine in India.

The vaccine has already been approved by the United States and European countries. Cipla had said that the vaccine should be allowed to be used in India without initial testing and that 100 people would be vaccinated and a report would be filed before the vaccine is put into use.

Cipla's application has been reviewed by DCGI and approved for emergency use. This permission is granted with some restrictions. It has been approved by the Drug Control Board of India and will be approved by the Central Government.
