Minister KN Nehru today launched a new e-platform under e-governance to list and maintain movable and immovable property belonging to 14 corporations, 121 municipalities and urban localities excluding Chennai.

Statement issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu today:

A review meeting on the development work being carried out by the Directorate of Municipalities in all corporations and municipalities was held today (26.06.2021) at the Ribbon House premises under the chairmanship of Urban Development Minister KN Nehru.

Earlier, Minister Nehru today launched a new e-platform under e-Governance to list and maintain movable and immovable property owned by urban localities without release.

29 e-services such as birth / death registration and certification, taxation, drinking water / sewerage connection, small business license, building permit are being implemented gradually by e-governance.

A new e-platform has been set up under e-Governance to list and maintain all movable and immovable property in 14 corporations and 121 municipalities without release, as directed by the Minister for proper protection of movable and immovable property belonging to urban localities.

Minister KN Nehru today (26.06.2021) launched the first phase of the e-software service uploading assets of Trichy Corporation. The service will be established and managed in all the corporations and municipalities within a month and will soon be made available to the public on the website.

Subsequently, the Minister of Urban Development inspected the project work being carried out in 14 Corporations (excluding Chennai) and 121 Municipalities in Tamil Nadu.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Municipal Administration on various development projects including Sirmigu town plan, Amruth project, Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Plan (TNSUDP), solid waste management works, underground sewerage project, drinking water project works, road works, storm water drainage works, street lighting works and bridge works. The Minister of Urban Development inquired in detail with the Commissioners of Corporations and Municipal Commissioners.

Following this, Minister KN Nehru instructed the officers to expedite the work being done in all the corporations and municipalities and to start the work as soon as possible. Earlier on behalf of Avadi Corporation Govt visited the sample form of temporary vaccination camps to be implemented to provide vaccination to the public and inspected the vaccination.

The meeting was attended by Shiv Das Meena, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Municipal Administration and Water Supply, Saikumar, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Kagandeep Singh Bedi, Commissioner, Chennai Corporation, P. Swarna, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services. New Tirupur Area Development Project Managing Director Chandrakanth P. Kamble, Municipal Executive Director P. Ponnaya, Tamil Nadu Drinking Water Drainage Board Managing Director V. Thaksinamoorthy, Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply Department Joint Secretary K. Megaraj, Municipal Administration, Tamil Nadu Drinking Water Drainage Board Officers, Corporation, Municipal Commissioners, Zonal Associate Directors of Municipalities and Many, including engineers, attended.
