Water flow on the way to Sathuragiri Sundaramakalingam temple ... No trekking ...

Today, on the day of the new moon, a large number of people gathered at the Rameswaram Agni Tirtha. They put 'Pindam' on the beach and worshiped Didi Darbhanam. The temple administration has said that the pilgrims on the way to the Sathuragiri Sundaramakalingam temple have been banned due to the increase in the flow of water in the streams.

It is customary to worship the ancestors of the holy baths in the rivers and seas on the days of the new moon. Many have been worried about not being able to prop up water levels for the past few months as the corona ban order was in effect. Many worshiped at home.

The temples have been reopened following relaxations a few weeks ago. Due to this, many people from the outer districts have come to Rameswaram Ramanathaswamy Temple on the day of the new moon to perform Sami darshan. Rameswaram Agni Tirtha Beach is a place where ancestors are worshiped.

There is a risk of spreading corona infection as thousands of people gather in one place without following the corona prevention measures.
