After the break, the southwest monsoon will intensify soon and the monsoon will begin on July 10 in other northern Indian states, including Delhi, where the monsoon has not started, the Meteorological Department said.
Based on the current climate change, the southwest monsoon will gradually intensify in the country. From July 8, the monsoon is expected to intensify along the west coast and adjoining parts of eastern central India.
On July 11, a low pressure area will form along the west-central and adjoining north-western Bay of Bengal along the coasts of northern Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha. With this, the moisture of the east wind from the Bay of Bengal will gradually spread to the eastern Indian states from July 8.
It will also spread to other states including Punjab and Haryana from July 10. Therefore, the Indian Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rains in the northwestern and central parts of the country from July 10.
