Supreme Court dismisses case seeking caste reservation in India...

The Supreme Court has dismissed a case seeking to impose caste reservation in India.

A number of cases have been filed in the Supreme Court and several other courts seeking the abolition of the caste-based left in India or the introduction of a new economic reservation system.

Although such cases are dismissed each time, many cases with new claims are being filed against the reservation. In that regard, Dr. Subhash Vijayran filed a case against the caste reservation system.

A time limit should be set for caste reservation to be followed in India. He requested in the petition that the date should be fixed and the deadline for how many more years this caste-based reservation system will be followed.

The case was heard by a bench of Supreme Court judges L Nageshwara Rao and Sreepathy Ravindra Pat. Within minutes of hearing the petition, we did not wish to issue any order on this petition.

The judges noted that there was no time limit for this caste reservation and that we were going to dismiss the petition. But after the judges said they were going to dismiss the petition, Dr. Subhash Vijayran automatically withdrew his petition.
