Police arrest brother who killed his brother in land grab ...!

Police on Saturday arrested and are investigating the brother who killed his brother in a land grab in Mayilampatti area near Devoor, Sankagiri circle, Salem district.

Matheswaran is a farmer from Mayilampatti near Devoor. There have been frequent disputes between his sons Srinivasan (39) and Sudhakar (35) over the division of family-owned land.

The two allegedly got into an argument on Saturday over alcohol. In this, brother Sudhakaran was stabbed by his brother Srinivasan. Sudhakar was seriously injured and died on the spot.

Devoor police have registered a case and seized the body and sent it to Edappadi Government Hospital for autopsy. Sankagiri Deputy Superintendent of Police C. Nallasivam visited the spot and investigated. The deceased Sudhakaran is survived by his wife Kavita (30) and two daughters Mausika (14) and Nisha Bhairavi (7).
