The parliamentary 'monsoon session' is set to begin on Monday (July 19).
Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, but will demand that France suspend the probe into the Raphael airline scandal.
The 6th session of the 17th Lok Sabha is scheduled to begin on Monday and end on August 13. Extensive security arrangements and health arrangements for infections have been made in the Parliament premises ahead of the meeting. Meetings are usually held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As in previous meetings, seats with social spacing have been arranged for protection against infection. Of the current 539 members of the Lok Sabha, 280 will sit in the regular Lok Sabha seats and the remaining 259 in the Lok Sabha.
Passengers will not be allowed in the meeting due to corona infection. The federal government plans to pass 40 bills and 5 emergency laws in the spring session.
Usually, parliamentary rainy sessions begin in the third week of July and end before Independence Day in August. Likewise, this year also begins with the meeting. A total of 19 amnesties are planned for this session.
Opposition parties, including the Congress, are expected to raise various issues at the meeting. In particular, Congress is expected to raise issues including the shortage of the corona vaccine, the ordering of a judicial inquiry into France in connection with the Raphael air deal, and the ongoing peasant struggle to repeal the federal government's new agricultural laws. Similarly, DMK and Coalition MPs from Tamil Nadu are expected to raise issues including the need to build a Kannada dam at Mackayattu across the Cauvery, including Need Thou.
All-Party Meeting Today: The Union Government has decided to hold an All-Party Meeting to ensure the smooth conduct of the monsoon session of Parliament.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prakash Joshi has already announced that the meeting will be held on Sunday at 11 am.
The meeting is attended by MPs from various parties. The smooth running of the parliament will be discussed at the meeting.
