In India, 42,766 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.

According to a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Health:

A total of 42,766 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the 24 hours to Saturday morning. Thus the total damage increased to 3,07,95,716.

In the last 24 hours, 45,254 people have recovered from the infection and returned home. Nationwide, 2,99,33,538 people have so far recovered from the infection.

And half of the 1,206 infections have died in the last 24 hours. The death toll from the outbreak has risen to 4,07,145.

The number of people being treated for corona infection across the country has dropped to 4.55 lakh.

The total number of tests conducted in India so far is 42.90 crore. The report said 19,55,225 tests had been performed in the last 24 hours.
