Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra has said that girls' education should be given priority if the country's social and economic development is to be promoted.
The inauguration ceremony of the new government high school was held on Saturday in Sivganj town in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. In it, Governor Kalraj Misra spoke on video:
If we want to improve the social and economic development of Rajasthan and the social and economic development of the country, we must increase the opportunities for girls to get an education. Students should get acquainted with famous female leaders while studying the history of India. This will not only help the students to know the ancient history of the country but also give them the motivation to progress in life.
An accomplished educator, poet and social reformer, Savitribai Poole and her husband Jyotirao Poole started the country's first girls' school in Pune in 1848. Kalraj Misra says that female education is fundamental to the overall development of any society.
