Central and state governments have responsibility to protect the people .... Ramadhass Report

Central and state governments have a responsibility to protect people from rising cooking gas prices. Realizing this, the demanded that the central and state governments provide additional subsidy on cooking gas cylinders and take steps to reduce its price. Pmk Founder Dr. Ramadhass has issued a statement. The details are as follows:

The price of subsidized cooking gas cylinders has been raised again by Cooking gas prices have risen for the fifth time in the last five months. The price hike is unreasonable as the public has been severely affected by the corona attack. The price of cooking gas has been increased by Rs.150 in five installments in 2021 alone. On February 1, the price of cooking gas was around Rs 710. In February alone, the total was raised by Rs 25 on the 4th, Rs 50 on the 15th and Rs 25 on the 25th for a total of Rs 100.

Since then, they have been raised by Rs 25 on March 1 and July 1, respectively. Meanwhile, on April 1 alone, the price of cooking gas was reduced by Rs 10 per cylinder. Neither the federal government nor the oil companies can justify the 20 percent increase in cooking gas prices in five months. On the one hand, the price of cooking gas continues to rise, while on the other hand, subsidies continue to fall. In May 2019, the subsidy on cooking gas price was Rs 243.98 per cylinder. It was gradually reduced and the subsidy was completely stopped before the last few months. Since then, a subsidy of Rs 24.95 has been given for the last few weeks. That means the subsidy on cooking gas has been reduced by about 90% in the last two years alone.

On the other hand, the price of cooking gas cylinders has gone up by 110 per cent to Rs 850 from Rs 406 in June 2016. It will hit people hard. Usually when subsidized cooking gas prices go up it is not imposed on the people. The people will not be affected as the central government subsidy will be raised in parallel with the price hike. But now that the amount of subsidy has been slashed, the price of cooking gas has risen beyond the reach of the poor and middle class.

Provided complete tax exemption and subsidized large sums. That is why the poor have risen to the level of using cooking gas. It is essential to protect the environment, reduce the burden on women and protect their health. But now the subsidy on cooking gas has been reduced to 18% GST. This is the reason for the increase in cooking gas prices. Federal and state governments have a responsibility to protect people from rising cooking gas prices. Realizing this, the Central and State Governments should take steps to reduce the price of cooking gas by providing additional subsidy on cooking gas cylinders.
