Union Minister Sadananda Gowda has said that an additional 61,120 vials of liposomal amphotericin-B have been allocated to the states.

People infected with the corona virus and treated after treatment were diagnosed with infections such as black fungus, white fungus, and yellow fungus. The number of people suffering from black fungus is currently on the rise.

For black fungus, amphotericin-B is prescribed. Due to shortage of this drug, the Central Government is currently distributing it to the states.

Union Minister Sadananda Gowda said an additional 61,120 amphotericin-B bottles have been allocated to the states. He said on his Twitter page:

An additional 61,120 vials of the liposomal amphotericin-B drug for the treatment of mycorrhizal disease, also known as black fungus, have been allocated to all states, union territories, and federal agencies.

About 7.9 lakh bottles have so far been allocated across the country to ensure adequate supply of medicine to those affected by the disease.
