Railways should be ready to face monsoon ... Railway Minister Piyush Goyal

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has said that the railways should be prepared to face the monsoon across India.

Due to continuous rains in Maharashtra, the railway tracks were submerged in water. Thus, some trains were canceled. Some Mumbai suburban trains were canceled due to rain.

In this context, Union Minister Piyush Goyal reviewed the current status of rain-affected areas and plans for smooth running of trains.

Later, he told reporters: “Railways across India, especially in Mumbai, need to be prepared for the monsoon.

The Railways is committed to ensuring that there is no inconvenience to the people of Mumbai during the monsoon. The Railway Department should join hands with companies like IIT Mumbai to study the performance of the Railways' technical and civil works in dealing with the monsoon.

Innovation and hard work must be combined to ensure the safety and unimpeded movement of trains. Thus he said.
