We will not hand over pictures of Iran's nuclear facilities to the IAEA....

Iran has said it will not hand over images of nuclear facilities to the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The UN, including Iran and the United States, signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 2015 between the permanent members of the Security Council and Germany. In that agreement, Iran agreed to ensure that its nuclear programs were not for the production of nuclear weapons. Instead, the superpowers agreed to lift sanctions on Iran.

The next president, Donald Trump, announced his withdrawal from the agreement, which was signed during the Obama administration. He also re-imposed sanctions on Iran, which had been suspended due to the agreement. In return, Iran is gradually violating the terms of the agreement. Joe Biden, President of the United States, has expressed his desire to rejoin the agreement. In this context, Chief Justice Ibrahim Raisi won the presidential election in Iran on the 18th.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for Iran's Bar Council for National Security and Foreign Affairs warned that "IAEA-equipped surveillance cameras will be removed from their nuclear facilities if the US does not ease sanctions on Iran." Yesterday (June 27) the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammed Bakhir Khalifa said, 'The agreement with the IAEA to share pictures taken inside nuclear power plants has expired. Therefore, the organization can no longer provide such images. Iran's announcement is expected to escalate tensions.
